coaster in the Middle East, propelling riders with jets of water and magnetic strips through 350 metres of fun. The same hydro-magnetic technology is used on Dawwama (HydroMagnetic Tornado), which combines a waterslide coaster with an 18-metre-tall version of ProSlide’s signature funnel-shaped Tornado slide.
Completing the attraction line-up are a large wave pool, lazy river, action river, kids pool, Marah Fortress (WhiteWater AquaPlay Giant RainFortress), the Bubble’s Barrel and Rush Rider wave simulators from WhiteWater/WaveLoch and Pearl Masters, Water Wars balloon combat game, an interactive treasure hunt around the park using WhiteWater’s SplashQuest system.
Employed to keep the park’s water supply clean is the Neptune-Benson Defender system, which processes 9,000 m3
of water using 16 filters – a
tough job given the perspiration and sunscreen emitted by guests in the scorching local heat. Built by Aldar Properties in co-operation lead designer/ engineer Atkins, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is operated by Farah Leisure Parks Management and will remain open 12 months a year.
