2012 has been an outstanding year for KPMG Corporate Finance in Poland. We advised on ten M&A transactions and again were ranked by Thomson Reuters SDC as #1 M&A advisor in Poland. Our completed transactions included a disposal of the leading Polish cookies manufacturer Delic-Pol to private equity houses AXA PE and Resource Partners (this transaction has been awarded “ Deal of the Year” title by Finance Monthly and Acquisition International), a disposal of Pharma Cosmetic, manufacturer of raw materials for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries to strategic investor Arseus N.V. and privatization of two lignite mines KWB “Konin” i KWB “Adamów” to power plant ZE PAK. We also advised on a subsequent IPO of the combined ZE PAK complex on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, on a disposal of the chain of Neste gas stations in Poland to a strategic investor Shell and on a defence of technology company Sygnity against hostile takeover. Furthermore we advised on structuring financing for
major infrastructure projects in Poland like LNG terminal, highways and nuclear power plant.
