OrienTax, established in 2009, is an independent tax advisory firm run by tax advisors previously working at Big Four advisory entities. The idea of setting up our company was a result of the changing market situation. Due to the economical recession experienced in recent years in Hungary, clients have been keen to find alternatives to Big Four advisors in order to rationalise the costs of tax advisory but not to compromise on quality. Our mission is to fill this market gap that we seem to do successfully.
OrienTax currently employs six experienced
tax professionals (two partners out of them) and services more than 50 clients, most of them Hungarian subsidiaries of multinational companies.
We pay special attention to provide our Clients with practical and implementable advice, helping them optimize their tax position and achieve business goals accordingly. Our client-focused attitude, exceptional technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills guarantee that our Clients receive high quality services.
Areas of Expertise Considerable scope of work is done on:
• Tax incentives (sport and film business related in particular)
• Company restructurings • Transfer pricing
• Tax due diligence, year-end review of tax returns
• General tax advisory
• Hungarian VAT reclaim for foreign taxpayers
• Tax planning of private individuals Finance Monthly GLOBAL AWARDS 2013 21
