Santa Cruz remembered It didn’t take long for the theme of “Com- ing Home” [Santa Cruz Mk III article, Jan. 2013] to hit pay dirt. The day it hit the news- stands, I received some e-mails from one Barry Ams, who was a young man in the Hawks Flying Club in Ft. Huachuca/Sierra Vista, Arizona, in 1959–1961. More on the OQ-3A I was looking through the old January
1946 Mechanix Illustrated magazine, and was surprised to find an article about the
OQ 3A drone. As you can see in the PDF page attached, there is a very good picture of its launching ramp and the aircraft mount- ed on it. Your model article [October 2012] and the link to the web article made this old article mean so much more.
