n its second year as title sponsor of the Royal Salute UAE Nations Polo Cup, the world’s leading luxury Scotch whisky, Royal Salute celebrated two days of polo
which culminated in Great Britain taking home the prestigious Royal Salute UAE Nations Cup title at the Desert Palm, Dubai. Te annual tournament which took place
from 23rd-25th January at the luxurious Desert Palm Resort in Dubai, saw 11 teams competing from four nations, UAE, Iraq, Switzerland and Great Britain in two divisions: 0-6 goals and 12-16 goals, with world class players. Iraq and Great Britain qualified through the league stages for the 2013 final. Te GB team found their strength through changing teams by bringing in UK’s top financier and polo player Sam Instone. Iraq’s debut performance in the Royal Salute Nations Cup saw an equally strong team fielded, including Argentinean professional Matias Machodo.
