The progress, diversity, positivity and opportunity in the games industry evident today, and in this issue, demonstrates why holding the reins to the magazine has been such a pleasure. But, after this issue, I will be stepping aside, handing over to our new editor, the brilliant James Batchelor. I’m delighted to say I’ll still be involved as contributing editor with all the same contact details, so you haven’t gotten rid of me that easily, but a new and deserving team member will capably fill my shoes. And likely turn up to your studio in smarter shoes than I ever did, having arrived on a more mature mode of transport than a thrashed old skateboard. So all that’s left is for me to thank you. Thank you


for reading, and thank you for all the help over the years, including the unforgettable studio visits and interviews. Thanks especially to the contributors for their hard work and fascinating words. The games development community is the most inspiring and friendly I know of, and the past five years have been a hugely exciting time to be involved. There’s many challenges, of course – to pen a
