[PRODUCTS ] SENSORS ARE BATTERY-POWERED

Powercast Corp. has added two ultra-long-life, battery- powered sensors to its line. The WSN-1101 wireless sensor measures temperature, humidity, light and external tem- perature probes. Featuring a pre-installed, non-replace- able battery, the WSN-1101 can transmit data once per minute for more than 25 years without maintenance. The other device, WSN-1102 wireless CO2 sensor, can operate on batteries for three to 15 years depending on user-selected data transmission intervals from one to five minutes.

TRIMBOARD OPTIONS ARE THICKER

VERSATEX Trimboard has expanded its line of Edge and Center Bead products to include a thicker nomi- nal 1- by 6-inch profile (¾ by 5 ½ inch actual). The profile is available in standard 18-inch lengths as an edge and center bead or edge bead only profile. It is also designed for 16-inch on center fastening and

is ideal for traditional architectural styles. The additional depth produces greater shadow lines and amplifies the visual impact of overhead and verti- cal installations.

fiber cement or composite wood. It delivers energy efficiency, durability, low maintenance and lasting beauty to a siding product. The insulation provides a thermal break and keeps moisture out while let- ting buildings breathe naturally. It also reduces air infiltration and lowers heating and cooling bills.

COIL SYSTEM USES LESS REFRIGERANT Lennox has launched its Environ Coil

System that uses a series of channels, which allow the coil to operate with less refrigerant without sacrificing cooling performance. The all-aluminum coil is up to 59 percent lighter, lowering the roof- top unit’s weight. Over-core reinforce- ments on the top and bottom layers are

two-times thicker than internal tubes, resulting in improved coil protection. www.lennoxcommercial.com // (877) 726-0024

POLYMER TILE REPLICATES SHAKE DaVinci Roofscapes has introduced a line of multi-width Bellaforté Shake polymer roofing tiles. Available in eight profiles that replicate real cedar shakes, the tiles feature snap-fit tabs for easy instal- lation and self-alignment. The 12-inch Bellaforté Shake enables roofing contractors to create a stag- gered appearance that simulates a natural rough- hewn wood shake roof. HEATER USES INFRARED TECHNOLOGY

Cambridge Engineering has released its Cambridge ITH- Series Infrared Tube Heater line, which features a 99 percent plus efficient reflector design. The heaters can be

used to heat entire commercial or industrial buildings or as a source

of focused spot heating in small occupied areas. They save energy by driving more radiant energy to the floor and reducing air stratification losses at the roof. Products with rat-

ings from 40,000 to 220,000 Btu per hour and radiant emitter tube lengths from 10 to 70 feet are available. www.cambridge-eng.com // (800) 899-1989
