The LUXADD Express T5 Retrofit Kit for T8 converts T8 electronic ballast fixtures into T5 fixtures with improved starter systems that will save up to 60 percent in lighting energy, another 10 percent on AC energy and extends the life of the tube up to 75 percent. The T5 technology has an output of 105 lumens per watt compared to 60 lumens per watt with T12 technology and 93 lumens per watt with T8 technology. The kit is made in the U.S.
LED IS ZHAGA CERTIFIED Cooper Lighting has Zhaga certified its
IRiS Lighting Systems P3LED directional series luminaire. Zhaga aims to develop specifications so new LED light sources will be simpler to integrate into exist- ing environments. The 3-inch aperture LED’s design allows light distribution to be modified by changing the trims, which are available in downlight, accent, wall wash and lens solu- tions. The series is currently avail-
able in 3000K, 85 CRI typical and designed to last 50,000 hours.
MaxLite has introduced the ECO-T LED Recessed Troffer, which is designed for in- stallation into T-bar grid ceilings. It features correlated color temperatures of 3500K, 4100K and 5000K and comes standard with a dimming driver and prismatic clear diffuser for higher lumens; a translucent diffuser for softer illumina- tion is available. The 2- by 2-foot 45-watt model replaces a typical 2U32 fluorescent fixture and exceeds 3700 lumens; the 2- by 4-foot 55-watt model replaces four F32T8/28W fluorescent lamps and exceeds 4900 lumens.
Columbia Lighting has introduced its Ser- rano LED, which delivers high efficacies up to 101 lumens per watt and a fixture life of up to 50,000 hours at 80 percent lumen maintenance. Serrano LED may be ordered with wiHUBB capability to integrate with Hubbell Building Automa- tion’s wireless mesh network. The modular plug-and-play design allows components to be easily swapped, so existing fixtures can be renovated. The hinged design provides access to the modules for tool-less modifications.
RAB Lighting’s LPACK52 is a 52-Watt LED Wallpack that replaces metal halide systems of up to 250W for building
perimeters while delivering energy savings of up to 80 percent. The LPACK52 has been designed to look like a traditional wallpack from the front. The fixture comes in standard, cutoff and full cutoff configurations. Like all RAB LED fixtures, the LPACK52 comes with a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Lighting Science Group has launched a high output 8-watt LED MR16 bulb that is a direct replacement for traditional MR16 50-watt halogen bulbs. Suited to a variety of applications that require directional lighting—such as track lighting, recessed ceiling lights, desk lamps, pendant fixtures and retail display lighting—the DEFINITY MR16 HO LED bulb is up to 33 percent more efficient while stay- ing within the industry-accepted form factor and without using any moving parts to achieve its performance.
