The Chesterfield Mayfair

Standing graciously in the heart of Mayfair near Berkeley Square, the chesterfield Hotel showcases traditional British heritage at its best, providing a club-like ambiance.

at Leconfield House, just around the corner from The Chesterfield. Although no one would ever have known it at the time, Curzon Street House was also used by the MI5. It housed large underground facilities for the ministry of Aircraft Production in World War II.

The Chesterfield is a beautiful hotel offering old-style English opulence and glamour. From the rich and stunningly decorated reception room, to the individually-designed luxurious bedrooms, this lovely hotel makes guests feel like they have stepped back in time to an era when dedication to customer service and attention to detail were of a higher standard.

However, the traditional style and values of The Chesterfield do not feel old-fashioned;

he impeccable service, perfect location and all new Bond- inspired martini menu wouldn’t look out of place in any iconic James Bond film. In fact, from 1945 to 1976, MI5 had its headquarters on Curzon Street

they are combined perfectly with 21st- century standards of comfort and technology. As the hotel’s website states, it ‘pleases, charms, and exceeds expectations in equal measure,’ a statement with which I could not agree more.

The Chesterfield offers 94 deluxe guest rooms and 13 luxurious suites that capture almost any mood. Within these bedrooms guests will find fabrics that reflect the pinstripes of nearby Saville Row, the florals of an English cottage garden, or the vibrancy of the African savannah. These are the rooms for a sound night's sleep filled with dreams of magical places.

All of the hotel’s guest rooms, suites and public areas have complimentary high- speed internet. You might feel as if you're in another world, but the 21st century is never more than a click away.

A visit to The Chesterfield would not be complete without sampling the delicious food on offer in its lovely Butlers Restaurant. The menu offers a wonderful selection of

traditional food with a modern and contemporary twist. Take the Shepherd’s Pie for example, a well-loved English classic, served here with its very own bottle of homemade ketchup on the side and made with shredded lamb instead of minced – stunning. Or perhaps guests may like to try the selection of smoked salmon – hand carved at the table. Whatever the choice, it will be a delight.

The staff are also very attentive and friendly and manage to make each and every guest feel like a valued and most welcome friend.

All in all, The Chesterfield Hotel is a stunning hotel which captures the elegance of a bygone era - perfect for business or pleasure in one of the most glamorous and interesting areas of London. Visitors will not be disappointed.
