WRN Broadcast appoints Dave Travis as new CTO
SERVICES COMPANYWRN Broadcast has chosen Dave Travis as CTO. He was formally head of Operations & Technology Services. Travis commented: “WRN Broadcast has an immensely strong offering across TV, Radio, IP and Broadcast Support and it’s been great playing a part in developing those areas. My appointment as CTO will be a challenging and rewarding role which will allow me to help drive the company forward with the rest of the executive management team.” Travis was director of Engineering at TSI Broadcast before WRN Broadcast acquired it in 2009. Prior to that he had worked at Viacom, including MTV Networks and was part of the team responsible for building Showtime, Arabia’s multi-channel playout facility in Dubai Media City.

STEFFAN HEWITT has stepped down as Managing Director of Polecam to concentrate on product development and sales. To enable Polecam to expand its operations both in Europe and around the globe a shareholding has been taken by ex Olympus Managing Director and President Graeme Chapman. Chapman takes over the role and has immediately formed a board comprising of himself, Hewitt and Jonathan Lewis of Reid & Co as Financial Director.

Dewaine McClellan has joined US-based pro audio and video signal distribution company PESA as international sales manager. He is responsible for sales of all PESA product lines to territories outside the US and Canada.

Atlona, a digital connectivity solutions provider, has appointed Jeff Meyer as the company’s director of business development for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. In his new role, Meyer is responsible for Atlona’s sales in these territories.
BHV Broadcast, the UK-based manufacturer and supplier of vision mixers, standards/format converters and the Video Ghost phantom power system, has added Harriet Diener of Desert Moon Communications, and Martin Cook, an independent broadcast consultant, to its board with immediate effect.

Simon Freer has joined Chellomedia as chief commercial officer. Harter originally joined Harman in 1998, primarily to manage the systems supply of the vast quantity of Harman equipment to the Millennium Dome project.
