HELP WANTED DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING


A manufacturing machine shop and foundry in Northern Indiana is looking for a technology driven Director of Sales and Marketing. With the growth history and expectations for the company, this role will serve as the sales leader/catalyst dedicated to achieving the company's profitable growth and strategic goals.


The primary task of the Director of Sales is to lead the company to significant revenue growth, while at the same time driving sustainable long term client relationships. In collaboration with the Executive Team, as well as other managers of the company, the DOS will refine and implement an overall strategic sales plan for the company.


Duties:


Develop strategic and tactical sales initiatives that meet or exceed budget objectives for profitable short and long term goals and market share objectives.


Provide leadership to Sales force, Customer Service, Sales Reps, Customer Engineers, and Marketing group to obtain the desired results.


Develop and implement measurement criteria for all areas of responsibility ensuring the attainment of organizational goals and objectives to track progress and identify areas of opportunity and assist in the development of sales activity reports such as revenue by account, revenue by product, revenue by sales person, profitability, etc. Review reports and data to take appropriate action to ensure organizational sales goals are accomplished.


Coordinate and assign existing sales territories to sales personnel. Investigate, recommend and justify new territories.


Identify and develop strategic training initiatives that enhance the professional skill level of the sales force. This includes generating & analyzing sales reports and accompanying the sales reps, as required, in their territory to increase profitability and generate revenue growth.


Manage department personnel using the tools of communication, recognition, training and discipline; as well as conducting thoughtful timely performance reviews.


Create the annual Sales Goals and Objectives and communicate these by generating the Sales plan and Sales budget, strategies and tactics.


Recommend and justify pricing, promotions, customer programs and other strategies to increase revenue without sacrificing profitably. Track actual performance to goals.


Qualifications:


BS/BA degree in Business Management or related field. Minimum 5 years management of sales team. Must have manufacturing experience Customer Service experience Must be analytical


Must have a current Drivers License and be insurable. Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures. Experience in entering new geographical locations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position will be fully responsible for all manufacturing aspects of an electric melt gray and ductile iron green sand foundry to include cost, quality, inventory and on-time delivery. Position will report to the Plant Manager. Candidate should have 5-7 years of green sand experience with verti- cally parted molding preferred, but not required. Individual must have strong leadership skills, attention to detail focusing on and documenting processes and controls and capable of handling multiple projects at one time.
