Please introduce yourself and your role.
I am Chris Dixon, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bundy Refrigeration.
I have been in this role for the last five years, having joined Bundy Refrigeration in October 2007.
I have been based in Italy since 1997, initially as plant manager of a UK (T&N PLC) / US (Dana Corporation) owned automotive components supplier, before moving into a variety of wider European and then global Operations Manager / Director roles within the same business
Prior to 1997, I worked in a variety of financial management and controlling roles, generally in UK based multinationals in the manufacturing sector – including T&N Group, TI Group, Pilkington Glass and Leyland Trucks.

Can you give an overview of Bundy Refrigeration and its
organisational structure?
Bundy Refrigeration is owned by Sun Capital Partners (
suncappart.com), a Boca Raton, Florida, based private equity fund. Sun Capital Partners purchased Bundy Refrigeration from TI Automotive Group in March 2007.
Bundy Refrigeration operates 11 manufacturing operations, across nine countries and three continents with manufacturing operations in Italy (2), Germany, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, Brazil (2), Colombia and Mexico.
Overall, Bundy Refrigeration now has a little more than 2000 employees. Bundy Refrigeration is managed on a global basis in terms of finance, product development and

purchasing, whilst operations, manufacturing and business development report and operate regionally. All Bundy Refrigeration operations are led by plant managers who hold profit and operating cash accountability locally.
Bundy Refrigeration operates globally with significant sales and a sizeable manufacturing footprint in three of the four major global economic regions – Europe, South America and NAFTA.
The majority of Bundy Refrigeration’s business is in domestic refrigeration cooling system components although we also have a number of product applications serving commercial refrigeration, domestic drier and cooking customers.
Bundy Refrigeration serves almost all of the major global domestic refrigeration OEM’s with an enviable global blue chip customer base including Electrolux, Whirlpool, Bosch Siemens, Indesit, LG, Samsung, Liebherr, MABE, GE, Arcelik, Vestel, AHT, Vestfrost and many others.

What are the main areas of Bundy Refrigeration’s expertise?
Bundy Refrigeration is one of the world’s largest and most experienced fluid carrying, cooling system and component suppliers for the domestic refrigeration industry.
Bundy Refrigeration is a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative cooling systems. Backed by over 50 years of experience in the industry, and a worldwide manufacturing network (described above), Bundy Refrigeration has the expertise, technical ability, manufacturing footprint and market understanding required to meet the demands of an ever changing market.

Bundy Refrigeration specializes (and to a certain extent, therefore differentiates itself from many competitors) in sales and application engineering support and service with all major customers.
Bundy Refrigeration is also one of the few, fully vertically integrated steel products suppliers in the industry in that it produces over 400 million metres of small diameter steel tube annually, across three regions, serving intra group customers, almost all OEM’s and a wide range of competitors alike.

Bundy Refrigeration’s product line includes evaporators, condensers, and a host of speciality products such as door warmers, heat exchangers and compressor components.
