Q
Is there a set plan that you follow to the letter when moving
assignees and their family?
HCR has been in business for more than 30 years, have honed our knowledge and are experts in what we do. HCR pride ourselves in our independence and as a dynamic company with global World Connect Partners in 143 countries, we tailor our services to our clients objectives and policies, ensuring that assignees/families are looked after, whilst keeping the cost of employee spend within budget and reducing/eliminating potential risk associated with Global Mobility.
Relocations are never alike and we treat every client and assignee/family as individuals,
adjusting our approach and tailoring solutions every time.
Q
How many different types of relocation are there? How does it
differ when there are more employees or groups relocating?
A few years ago, the main types of relocations included Long and Short Term Assignments, Repatriations and Permanent Moves. Globalization, cost control and talent management requires to be more innovative to realize company goals, manage workforce and differentiating themselves from competitors. Thus we have seen many new assignments emerge, including - - New Hire & Local Plus - Commuter - Extended Business Traveller - Cross Boarder Moves - Virtual Assignments - Unaccompanied moves - Subsequent and rotational assignments - Inter-Regional Transfers
Provisions for assignments could be nil, a lump-sum payment, lean provisions of assistance, a core-flex approach or full support with all the flags and whistles. Support could depend on the reasons for relocation, i.e. company versus self-initiated moves, projects, practicality and budget.
