New Bowling Movie In The Making? Actor Jack Black recently dropped

hints to the LA Times that his next mov- ie project will detail the trials and trib- ulations of a man who “ditches every- thing to try his hand at pro bowling.” If it sounds like a remake of “Kingpin,”

TEBOW-LING ON THE LANES

I

t’s no secret that bowling makes a great first date. It is a great social ice- breaker.

So, it should come as no surprise

that the painfully pleasant and polite New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow recently took to the lanes with new love interest Camilla Belle. It’s also not surprising that the

couple’s outing to Latitude 30 in Jacksonville, Fla., quickly drew the attention of the paparazzi, which follows every step the bible-quoting 25-year-old athlete seems to take.

don’t dispair. Black, who will team with his “School of Rock” director Richard Linklater, indicated that the new bowling movie would be based on a real life bowler. Black neither confirmed nor denied that his character would be based on Pete Weber.

No timetable has been set for the film, but Linklater is said to be a notoriously fast worker.

And because the celebrity-chasers

love the idea of a romantic date night, de- tails of Tebow’s appearance on the lanes included the obligatory, “Tebow was dressed casually in blue jeans and a gray t-shirt, while Belle donned black pants, a white shirt and a scarf.” The couple and a group of friends took

over four lanes that had been blocked off for their arrival, although there were few reports of the athlete’s bowling prowess or if any post-strike Tebowing took place, a la Sean Rash after receiving the PBA Player of the Year trophy.

Blanchard, you’ve got company. The video of the 25-year-old PBA Tour bowler’s famous slip-and-fall at last season’s World Series of has gone viral again, only this time with the face of oft-injured NBA star Andrew Bynum superimposed in the video.
