garments increased substantially when I discovered Rowan patterns and yarn after moving to a town with a large department store, for University. Many sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, bags and a number of “Boyfriend Jumpers” later, in 2009 I made my first move from garment production to Textile Art when I won a National competition sponsored by “the Knitter” magazine to design a blanket square as part of the Macmillan Coffee Mornings campaign. Having discovered a new outlet for my obsession and thirst for knowledge and skills, I went on to complete the City and Guilds via distance learning with Knit Design Online, and enrolled on the Foundation Degree at Eastleigh College.”
