2011 NCAA champion Dustin Kilgore of Kent State is back on the collegiate mats after taking an Olympic redshirt. Kilgore made significant gains while spending a year training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Another 2011 NCAA champion, Penn State’s Quentin Wright,


bumps up to 197 after previously competing at 184. Wright has been a finalist the last two years after placing sec- ond in the 2012 NCAAs at 184. Pitt’s Matt Wilps placed fourth last season while returnee Alfonzo Hernandez of Wyoming was sixth and Penn’s Micah Burak was seventh.


Heavyweight Minnesota’s Anthony Nelson was a surprise champion at last


year’s NCAAs. Nelson competed for the U.S. in the University World Championships in October.


All-Americans Dom Bradley of Missouri and Jarod Trice of Central Michigan are back after taking Olympic redshirts. Bradley is a past Junior World champion in freestyle. Oklahoma’s Alan Gelogaev also returns after missing last


year’s NCAAs with an injury. He was 24-1 last season. Other All-Americans who return include Northwestern’s Michael McMullan, Iowa’s Bobby Telford, Ohio’s Jeremy Johnson and North Carolina State’s Nick Gwiazdowski.
