Trend does all the hard work by emailing the relevant end-users and other contacts, directing them to TRCs near them. The Christmas campaign has already begun with incredible deals for TRCs and end-users. Support from Trend to its TRC’s is not only providing good


products and point of sales display. Some of the other “invisible” aspects of marketing need to be in place for a truly comprehensive package. So, Trend will give TRCs data and graphics for individual company websites. Technical support for TRCs and end-users is available on the net and via telephone, and the referrals are sent back to the individual TRCs as appropriate. Same day dispatch of products and consistent stock availability means that TRCs can confidently place orders (a minimum of only £25!!!!) knowing that customers will only have a short wait for items not immediately in stock. Consistent advertising in trade, consumer and business magazines means that the Trend message is out there and has a high visibility. TRCs benefit from all of this because they are the natural place for consumers to visit if they want to purchase Trend products. We all know that times are tough at present, but sitting in a

Trend has recognized that not everyone can be a routing expert, but with a bit of hands-on training, it is amazing how enthusiasm and expertise can be generated. Depending on the level of TRC chosen, Trend is offering retail staff the opportunity to attend a two-day course at the Training Centre in Watford. Trainees get a certificate to display and a “Trend Specialist” badge (amongst a few other desirable goodies) that indicates specialist knowledge of the Trend range.

is that the Trend TRC initiative is flexible and comprehensive. Whether you buy into it at Bronze level or Gold Level there are significant advantages to be had if your customer base uses the wide range of quality products that Trend offers. I can only give a flavour of the TRC initiative here,


but retailers who are interested should get in touch with Trend. Me? - I am just off to my nearest TRC in Hove. They do have that saw blade I wanted in stock. Might as well take advantage!

From my point of view, this is one of the most important aspects that TRCs can get into. It is great to get good advice courtesy of good product knowledge – and then to find that the item is in stock too – end-user heaven!
