Learning with the NUT

The NUT offers a range of national training and continuing professional development courses. What’s the difference between the two? Simple.

Training makes you a more effective member or rep.
CPD makes you a more effective teacher.

Courses take place at venues around the country, and many are free or subsidised by the Union. Visit the NUT website for details – www.teachers.org.uk/courses.

NUT rep and officer of the year awards - nominations now open

Do you know an NUT rep or officer who has made a difference in your school, academy, college or local area? If so, we would like to hear from you. These awards recognise the importance of, and celebrate, their hard work.

Find further details and make a nomination at www.teachers.org.uk/repandofficerawards. Closing date 14 December 2012.

Learning is fun...

at the NUT young teachers' conference

… at the NUT young teachers’ conference!

The 2013 conference takes place from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June and all in-service teachers aged 35 or under are eligible to attend. It is held at the Union’s national training centre, Stoke Rochford Hall, near Grantham in Lincolnshire.

Young teachers meet and network with others from across England and Wales. You can go to www.teachers.org.uk/youngteachersconference to register your interest, or call 020 7380 4822.
