Palace perfect By next month, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort will have completed upgrades to 400 of its guest rooms, while ballroom spaces — six in total, ranging from 1,500 to 56,000 square feet — will be refreshed as well.

Groups with a penchant for recreation will love the options — one of only two Jack Nick- laus Signature golf courses in Cancun, seven pools with six swim-up bars, six tennis courts, a spa with 39 treatment rooms, and dozens of on-site activities from rock climbing to yoga. After the renovation is complete in Novem- ber, Moon Palace will be the first resort in Mexico to offer the FlowRider Double, a wave
simulator that guests can surf on. Both of Moon Palace’s fitness centers will also feature new state-of-the-art equipment with virtual trainers.

The restaurant will be large enough to accommodate groups of 350, and Teppanyaki tables — interactive cooking sta- tions perfect for entertaining groups — will be added. Francois Frossard, who has designed some of Miami’s most popular nightclubs, including Mansion and Prive, will reimagine two of the resort’s current lounges — Lobby Bar and Sky Bar — as well as design the latest addition, Nightclub.
