The Gallery at Sketch, London’s iconic restaurant in Conduit Street, has recently been remodelled by Turner Prize winner Martin Creed. As part of the renovation, Roblon Fibre Optics, supplied by Light Projects, have been dramatically used to light the front of the bar in the Gallery area. The innovative lighting, used to transform the bar into an art installation, was achieved using Roblon’s new LED fibre optic projectors coupled with Avant-Garde end points in a random focus as per the artist’s brief.

BJB has announced an LED version of its e-Line range. The patented lampholder has an integrated driver, COB and glass lens. The one-piece 220/240V, 6W unit has a lifetime of more than 25,000 hours and is compatible with BJB's range of industry-standard insulating caps. With an output of 520 lm at a colour temperature of 3000K and a colour rendering index of more than 80, the lampholder is an ideal alternative for embodiment in hotel room fittings, public areas or any location where the unauthorised removal of expensive retrofit lamps is a potential issue.

RIDI has launched ARKTIK-ME LED, an energy efficient luminaire for the modern office environment. The luminaire offers LG7 compliant performance combined with all the maintenance and lifetime benefits of LED technology, as well as class leading performance. ARKTIK-ME LED is manufactured at RIDI’s facility in Jungingen, and is designed to fit a standard 600x600 ceiling grid for maximum application potential. Trimlite-Suspended: MID Lighting have extended their Trimlite range of recessed linear luminaires with an extruded suspended version. The fitting has been designed to accept both LED boards and fluorescent T5 with a range of optics including Satine Blend diffusers to provide a high transmission and evenly illuminated luminaire. The fitting is complemented with the recessed versions, which are suitable for continuous mounting in plasterboard ceilings. These are available with both trimless and trimmed bodies. The recessed fitting can be supplied in widths to suit a specifiers project requirements.
