AT&T connects Brother Industries’ sites worldwide

Brother Industries (Brother), a global leader in communications and printing equipment, has selected AT&T as its global supplier of advanced communications services and applications.

Brother chose AT&T because it needed a single provider that could deliver a complete communications infrastructure solution to support its extensive global operations, while offering scalability to accommodate plans to expand sales in Asia and the rest of the world. Brother was already familiar with its quality of service. AT&T previously helped Brother to manage its networking communications in the US to support critical business applications.

In the first phase, AT&T connected 42 Brother sites in North America and Europe to its global Virtual Private Network (VPN). In the second, AT&T extended this connectivity to six sites in the Asia-Pacific region.

AT&T’s VPN services have standardized the functions, specifications and operation of Brother’s network infrastructure, simplifying complex operational and management processes so that the company can swiftly implement IT strategies in response to changes in the business environment. AT&T’s solution also provides easier routing across the network to improve performance and reduces costs through the elimination of separate inter- region networks.

Tomoyuki Hasegawa, Managing Executive Officer of Brother Industries commented, “We put our customers first and provide them with superior value by quickly creating and delivering high-quality products and services. A centralized and global communications platform, managed by AT&T, will help us truly implement our global business strategies. I think that working with AT&T, a company with huge capabilities provides us with a very wide horizon of possibilities.”
