Memberships

METALCON and the Hall of Fame The industry’s big show is coming up and MCN announces its Hall of Fame On October 9, the metal construction industry will gather at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., for METALCON International 2012. For architects, contractors, building owners and suppli- ers interested in the metal construction industry, this is the most important gathering of the year. The convention lasts for three days and is a vibrant mix of educational opportunities, new product

demonstrations and show fl oor activity, as well as a chance to network with your peers in the industry. This year, METALCON has revamped its educational program to allow attendees deeper access

to more information. Many, of course, are available for continuing education credits. But the education doesn’t stop in the seminar rooms. The Solar Bay, back by popular demand,

provides up-to-date information about the booming business of solar installation, which has a special affi nity for working with metal roofs. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to expand your busi- ness and learn more about the future of solar and metal roofs. Also on the show fl oor, hundreds of products’ booths that offer show attendees a great chance

to fi nd new products and learn more about existing products. Packed even further, the fl oor offers more demonstrations on metal wall installation, tool demos, and both residential and commercial roofi ng installations. But the best thing about any trade show is the people. Don’t miss this chance to learn from your peers. Why beat your head against doors that others have already fi gured out how to open?

The Metal Construction News Hall of Fame MCN is very proud to announce the creation of our Hall of Fame that recognizes the people in the metal construction industry who have provided the guiding light, inspiration and innovation to develop and grow our industry. They will be divided into three categories: • Manufacturer/Supplier • Contractor/Installer • Friend of the Industry Selection for this honor will be based on the following criteria:

• Unique Contribution: The creation or development of a specifi c aspect or segment of business that has advanced the industry.

• Body of Work: The depth and breadth of contribution to the industry throughout a career. • Longevity: Honorees must have been actively involved in the industry for at least 15 years. • Legacy: The honoree’s contribution must have had a long-lasting impact on the industry. • Integrity: Honorees must exhibit the highest ethical and professional standards in all aspects of business.
