The 17,500-square-foot Palmyra Community Center in Palmyra, N.J., was built for the Borough of Palmyra and can be used for athletic events, lectures, theater and catered events. Built by Fabbri Builders, Vineland, N.J., the center has a geothermal HVAC system with 35 geothermal wells that service the building’s heating and A/C needs. It also has ceiling tiles that are LEED certifi ed and recyclable, lead-free paint, in addition to high-effi ciency lighting fi xtures with motion-activated switching. Located in Houston, the Monarch School, which uses MBCI's SuperLok standing seam metal roof system, is LEED Gold certifi ed by the USGBC. MBCI was involved early in the design process with Jackson + Ryan Architects and Gulf Star Roofi ng to help ensure the proper roof system was in place so the school would receive a weathertightness warranty.
