Free Continuing Medical Education (CME) Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors: Survivorship 101 for Primary Care and Community Providers


COURSE OBJECTIVES


• Increase awareness of issues and challenges facing adolescent and young adult (AYAs) cancer survivors, ages 15-39.


• Identify the unique physical and psychosocial care needs of AYA cancer survivors.


• Collaboratively communicate and plan for patient screening needs in response to their cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.


• Discuss the spectrum of treatment effects, including late effects among AYA survivors.


TARGET AUDIENCE: Community-based Primary Care Physicians, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and sub-specialists who may treat Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) patients such as cardiologists, endocrinologists and neurologists.
