WOMAN OF THE MONTH

when your skin re-hydrates and repairs itself. On and off stage myself and Tess use Miners Cosmetics make-up products, make-up is my weakness ask anyone! Te Miners lipsticks are fantastic I love all the different shades so much that I’ve got a whole draw dedicated to them. I also love to have a spray tan by Fake Bake before and during the tour and I top it up with the Fake Bake bronzing gel this gives you a constant healthy glow.

all our supporters holding NVS banners and chanting NVS was a surreal experience but definitely one of the best!

Having toured with JLS which member

would you snog, date, marry, avoid? I would snog Aston, Date Marvin, Marry JB and avoid Oritse (sorry Ritse x)

Te perfect date would be? Well I’m a sucker for a bit of romance, so I would have to say something dreamy like being whisked away to Paris for the weekend as a surprise or taking a hot air balloon ride while the sun is setting! A beautiful candle lit dinner at an expensive restaurant where I can dress up or the perfect night in a luxury hotel with the man of my dreams!

Shopping, what is your weakness? I LOVE clothes and anything to do with fashion! I love playing with different looks on my own and with our stylists it’s so much fun! When we got asked by Blue Inc to be the face of their summer campaign in collaboration with the JLS Summer Tour, I was ridiculously excited to say the least! I’m so lucky that fashion and image are a big part of my job.

What is your wardrobe necessity on stage? On stage it’s great to have some sparkle to catch the lights so we all rock Shimla earrings and bracelets. I think I have one in every colour now! Also a really great pair of heels that you can

dance in is a must!

Favourite local shops? I’m a Berties girl through and through, there’s always such a happy vibe in there! My mum is my style guru so when I’m back home in Northampton I always pop in to play dress up. My Mum has always had a big influence on my fashion style; I’m so lucky to have her. I also love teaming high street fashion with designer items for example a Topshop baggy Tee and leggings teamed with a pair off Lama Peach soft leather cowboy boots from Berties…best of both worlds.

You tour a lot with NVS what’s the

hardest thing about it? It’s tiring more than anything, as you’re constantly on the move with school tours during the day, arena’s at night, club gig’s after the arenas, radio interviews and photo shoots inbetween, plus a lot of time is spent in the tour bus travelling around the country! It’s nice to have a little familiarity so we like to stay with the Jury’s Inn hotel chain. It’s great as the hotels rooms tend to look the same so even though your in a different one every night you feel like you’ve been in the same place for longer. Guaranteed great nights sleep and a yummy breakfast in the morning.

Do you have any beauty tips when you are

on tour? Most importantly it’s always good to take your make-up off before you go to sleep, as that’s

How do you keep your hair looking so

great when you’re constantly styling it? We have a great hair stylist called Jen and her team at Hair and Booty! Jen is a genius with hair, she comes to visit us at the arenas before our shows and on set at our video and photo shoots. Tess and me love our ‘sleek’ hair extensions, especially for stage as there’s more to flick around and having them in just makes you feel more glam!

Your spare time consists of what? I love spending quality time with my parents as I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like to, so I go home to Northampton and just chill out or go shopping with my mum! I like to work out and every once in a while and I go into London and dance the night away with my friends!

I equally love doing nothing! A cosy night in, hot bath, candles, dressing gown, a good film, popcorn! Heaven! I also love to read.

Your final goal or dream in life? I do have a long list of things I want to achieve. I think it’s really important to set goals and to push yourself. I have huge aspirations for NVS and I’m really excited to see where we are going to be in a year’s time? After NVS who knows, I have loads of other things that I’d like to do. I do see myself getting married, kids and the dogs etc,! but right now, I couldn’t be happier doing what I love to do, performing!
