Our country was colonized by Europeans who brought with them a bold spirit and many traditions, including classical music. However, it wasn’t long before the dreams of colonists were big and a new nation was founded. As we grew through western expansion, urban development, and modern advancements…music was there all along the way. This exciting multi-media music program captures the human journey through the eyes and the music of Americans through the ages. Students and teachers will discover how music evolved in forms such as jazz, blues, country and others as an expression of the American spirit.
