Young Audiences is offering an in-school experience to further your study of Mark Twain and Huck Finn. In this post-performance workshop, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Barry Stewart Mann uses the power of words and images as creative pathways into the curriculum. Barry’s workshop supports state curriculum standards through drama strategies such as improvisation, theatre games, physicalization, process drama, and more. Barry has customized this workshop to deepen student learning after having experienced the performance.

Young Audiences brings another in-school experience to your school with performer and musician Dave Holland. Dave delivers a high-octane lesson in multimedia storytelling guaranteed to spark the imagination and kindle a love of reading. Students learn how the drum was first used to communicate, how music can enhance storytelling, and how instruments can be created from ordinary objects. Lots of audience participation ensures a memorable, fun-filled, percussion-loaded learning extravaganza as Dave sings, drums, and narrates his way through an array of world folktales.
