Linde’s bespoke warehouse solution

W TAILORED CONTRACT TERMS
As Cromwell’s business expanded, Linde gave tailored contract terms on its existing range of trucks, which allowed Cromwell to fl ex its fl eet size to meet increased demand. Linde provided a fl eet of the recently launched K range combi trucks to ser- vice the facility’s narrow aisle confi gura- tion for bulk storage of pallets. Pallets and replenishment cartons are picked either by the K trucks or specifi cally de- signed V12 multi-level order pickers. Linde also worked with Cromwell on the racking system design to en- sure all possible pinch-points were designed out of the system and the best material fl ow implemented. It also co-ordinated the fl oor survey and remedial fl oor repairs to ensure the smooth running of the VNA trucks and meet Cromwell’s operation requirements.
MATCHING EXACT REQUIREMENTS Linde’s Derek Thomas said: “We used the
Linde Very Narrow Aisle confi guration Programme, which was fundamental in supporting Cromwell in its new warehouse facility. VNAP allows our specialist team to design a truck to match the customer’s exact requirements, rather than recommending the truck with the nearest specifi cation.
