the country are pulling out ground sheets and tent pegs from their garages in preparation for the festivals taking place over the next couple of months. For some of us the struggle and stress of erecting a tent with the mud and the masses is simply too off-putting, but this shouldn’t be enough to stop us enjoying the sights and sounds of these fantastic musical pilgrimages. Fortunately for the discerning festival-goer there are now other options available to us and they fall into the more elegant category of ‘glamping’. Glamping means luxury camping and it is a great choice for those of us who wish to seek

ome people love it, some people loathe it, but whatever your views are on camping, there is no getting away from it this summer. People across


refuge in nature without having to forgo style and comfort. So where can you go for the glamping


experience and what should you expect? Well, if you’re a music lover you can find luxury camping options at most festivals. Te luxury accommodation company Tangerine Fields provide tent hire and pre-pitched accommodation so you don’t have to lug your own through a muddy field. Tey have tents for up to eight people as well as tipis, yurts and gypsy caravans and they can provide airbags, brand new sleeping bags, camping stoves, headtortches and kettles. At many festivals the company have their own exclusive camping area with showers, toilets, security and even pamper parlours with hairdryers, hair straighteners and curling tongues.


Another company that will be present at


festivals this year is Podpads, who provide a unique and hassle free way of camping. Tey have a collection of accommodation, which they set up and break down themselves. A basic Podpad looks like a big brightly coloured Wendy house and has carpeted floors, airbeds in three different sizes, 12 V socket and interior strip light as well as shelves on which to store your belongings. For more luxury, however, the ‘Luxpad’ is the better choice. It has 50% more floor space than the podpad and a higher roof. Tey have solid floors with cushion floor vinyl, twin or double beds with mattresses, hanging shelves and storage, wardrobe shelf unit, windows with curtains and a mirror.
