On Aug. 20, PCMA’s Southwest & Pacific Chapter held a fundraising dinner in honor of PCMA Chairman Kati S. Quigley, CMP, director of event marketing for Microsoft and the first female PCMA chair to hail from a corporation.“We felt that this was an important accomplishment…as the planner membership base of PCMA historically has been association planners,” said Southwest & Pacific Chapter President Sylvia Harrison, CMP, director of sales for the San Diego Convention Center Corp. Held at the California Club in Los Angeles, the dinner was attended by more than 180 people—including PCMA President and CEO Deborah Sexton—and raised $16,000.
