Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems: 5-6th September 2012, Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre


As a biennial event, this exhibition brings together companies who supply products and services specific to the offshore industry, in addition to others representing processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, and marine engineering in north east Scotland.


Exhibitors this year include ABB/Wika/JWF Process Solutions Alliance, Honeywell Control Systems, Caledonia Instrumentation, Draeger Safety UK, Fischer Connectors, Isothermal Technology and Weidmuller.

WWEM –Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring – is focused on measurement, testing and analysis for the water and wastewater and environmental industry. Established in June 2005, this biennial event features products ranging from test kits to process measurement, laboratory analysis, right through to fixed and portable gas detection. In 2010 a dedicated Gas Detection zone of companies who provide fixed and portable gas detectors and calibration gases was introduced.


Those topics will be expanded to include hazardous areas for the 2012 event. The conference and exhibition are run with support from the Environment Agency as well as many of the UK’s leading trade associations including BMTA, WMA, SIRA, CIWEM, SWIG, CoGDEM, UKTI and Gambica.

Autosport International: 10-13th January 2013, NEC, Birmingham


Now in its 23rd year, this annual pre-season Motorsport Event covers over one million ft2. It caters for industry professionals and motorsport fans alike, incorporating two Trade-only days (10th –11th) to allow visitors and exhibitors to meet in a business to business environment and two public days (12th-13th) dedicated to motorsport enthusiasts. This features every level of motor racing – from karting up to Formula One. Exhibitors range from specialist engineering companies to major manufacturers and everything in between. Autosport Engineering features a Manufacturing Technology area


which caters not only for the motorsport industry but also embraces the cross-over of technology from the aerospace, marine and other industries utilising high-performance engineering technology. Relevant products exhibited here will include sensors and telemetry, plus data acquisition solutions.


For trade buyers and overseas visitors looking to meet manufacturers and suppliers of the latest technical motorsport products, the Trade & Technical Area is said to be a vital business hub of the show.

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics: 13-14 February 2013, FIVE, Farnborough, Hampshire


The 2012 Southern Manufacturing & Electronics exhibition was its largest so far, with a great many exhibitors showing a wide variety of products suited to a range of industries and applications. Products on show included test and measurement solutions, inspection and measurement technology, and enclosures.


The exhibition also features a comprehensive seminar programme Sensor+Test: 14th-16th May 2013, Nuremberg, Germany


The main focus of this annual ‘measurement fair’ is on the application of sensor and measuring technology to solve specific tasks. Technologies covered range from sensors to finished test results, and technical solutions for measuring, testing and monitoring tasks in all industrial sectors. Features include an action area which enables visitors to experience innovative solutions, systems and products in practice. Applications play a leading part.

In addition to two cost-free forums in the exhibition area, confer- ences and symposia also take place at the event.


The three-day 2012 fair saw approximately 8200 visitors from all over the globe, attending because they wanted to obtain information about the state of the art in sensor, measuring, and testing technology. There were 536 exhibitors and an exhibition area measuring approxi- mately 19,000 m2).
