Multipix Imaging
Multipix Imaging has launched the Microscan Nerlite Smart Series of lighting. Te illuminators have a built-in controller to adjust intensity between continuous mode and high output strobe mode for a complete and easily integrated solution. Te series includes the Hi- Brite area/floodlight, DOAL lighting, and ring lighting. Te Hi-Brite illuminates small to large areas
with LED lighting to provide a high intensity output, featuring IP67 industrial sealing. Te compact lights include a built-in controller for a complete and easily integrated solution for rugged automation environments. Versatile 10° spot and 50° flood lens options allow them
Alrad Imaging
Alrad Imaging now supplies illumination systems from DCM Systems. Recently featured products include PRL compact linear projectors, high intensity LED projectors that produce an intense narrow line of light. Specially designed for use with linear cameras, they can also be used with matrix cameras allowing darkfield lighting in large areas or lengthy oblong objects. The company also provides BKC cylindrical backlights, which emit
homogeneous diffuse lighting in the 360º of their circular surface. They can therefore be used from several angles at the same time for complete backlight inspection of hollow objects such as pipes and boxes, or for inspection from different angles in carousels or turntables. Also available from Alrad Imaging are high-resolution cameras from Industrial Sensor Vision International Corp (ISVI- Corp). The company specialises in high-resolution, high-speed camera technology for the vision industry.
to be used at both near and far distances to accommodate a variety of applications. Te DOAL (Diffuse On-Axis Lighting)
illuminators provide diffuse, uniform illumination for flat specular surfaces. With the coaxial lighting approach, specular surfaces perpendicular to the camera appear bright, while surfaces which are marked or embossed absorb light and appear dark. DOALs give greater uniformity than conventional sources, increasing accuracy and repeatability. Te ring lights are cost-effective and easily
integrated for diffuse illumination of surfaces. With subtle adjustments to working distance and angle of light delivery, ring lights can deliver good image contrast for a minimal investment.

Camera resolutions range from 5 Megapixels up to 25 Megapixels. All cameras have a Camera Link interface. The cameras are ideal for a range of applications including automated optical inspection, solder paste inspection, package inspection and back light unit inspection. These high-resolution cameras can run at high frame rates (e.g. 25MP at 27fps, 20MP at 34fps and 15MP at 45fps). All cameras use CMOS sensors with global shutter. For the higher resolution cameras, both monochrome or colour cameras are
available. The 5 and 10 Megapixel cameras are only available with colour sensors. The cameras are lightweight, typically 520g (without lens), and can withstand high shock and vibration.
Alrad Imaging can offer customers a complete camera and frame grabber solution. Epix has interfaced the ISVI-Corp 25MP camera to their PIXCI E4 or E8 frame grabbers and achieved 23.5fps into a raid system making the combination ideal for image sequence acquisition.
