gilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) introduced the Agilent 1290 Infinity Quaternary LC system,

systems, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Altair Nanotechnologies (China) Co., Ltd., had entered into an economic cooperation agreement with Handan and Wu‘an cities, which are located in Hebei Province in the People‘s Republic of China. The agreements were signed at the Handan Invest- ment Environment Promotion Conference in Hong Kong on April 18, 2012.

The agreement will promote the development, production, sale and deployment of energy storage systems, electric vehicles (EV) and lithium titanate (LTO) materials in Handan and Wu‘an cities.

Moreover, Altair Nanotechnologies reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012:

• Revenues decreased to $0.3 million from $2.6m; • Gross loss remained constant at $(0.2) million; • Operating expenses of $4.8 million compared to $5.7 million;

• Net loss of $4.9 million compared to $5.9 million; • Cash used in operating and investing activities of $6.1 million compared to $4.6 million.
