wo out of four members of the SEMATECH EMI Partnership placed orders with Carl Zeiss to
purchase an actinic aerial image metrology system AIMS™ EUV for reviewing defects in ad- vanced masks needed for extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL).
Furthermore, with Axio Zoom.V16, Carl Zeiss is defining a new instru- ment class in microsco- py. For the first time, zoom microscopes are now combining typical benefits of stereomic- roscopes such as zoom optics and long working distances with the higher resolutions of light micro- scopes. In comparable image fields, Axio Zoom. V16 offers a 2.5 times higher resolution than stere- omicroscopes. With a 16x zoom range, Axio Zoom. V16 surpasses all comparable microscopes currently available.
The O-INSPECT line from Carl Zeiss is also growing: the O-INSPECT 322 coordinate measuring machine is now available. It is the smallest system with which Carl Zeiss is expanding the range of applications
of its coordinate measuring machines. The system unites contact ZEISS scanning and optical measuring. This combination is now available in two sizes: O- INSPECT 322 and the original O-INSPECT 442. Both machines use the same sensors and function; the difference is in the measuring range.
