Hillhead Preview Fairport Engineering Limited

Fairport Engineering has a good reputation in the UK aggregates and cement industries for delivering major bulk materials handling and processing projects. Having been in business for some 30 years the company is extremely conscious that being able to tailor its services to meet its client’s changing needs is the key ingredient to its on-going

success. This beneficial position has allowed Fairport Engineering to assess the likely future needs of the cement and aggregate sectors and seek to offer services that can add value in these financially challenging times to the organisations operating in these industries.

Fairport is aware that reduced maintenance and refurbishment spends of the last few years are, sooner or later likely to give rise to an increased number of minor works scenarios. This being the case, it has established a specialist group to target and deliver this type of work and this will indeed be the focus of this year’s exhibition.

Gotland/DISAB Stand: V17 Alongside examples of its CompVac, BagVac and SkipVac industrial vacuum machines, the DISAB Group is bringing the world’s most powerful Vacloader, the DISAB LN 200 Centurion HT, to Hillhead.

Hycontrol Stand: P107 Solids and liquids level measurement specialists Hycontrol will be focussing on quarry safety systems and ‘best engineered’ turnkey level solutions for Hillhead 2012. The show will see the official launch of its unique SPS 2000 Silo Protection Pod, together with its proven safe alternative to nucleonics (gamma radiation) for blocked chute detection. Visitors to its stand will be able to see the world’s first fully integrated silo overfill protection system. The SPS 2000 is simply fitted via a single flange at the top of the silo and all critical components can be fully tested at ground level before every fill. Hycontrol, who already have a strong track record supplying RBA and MPA compliant silo safety systems, claim the SPS 2000 improves safety and productivity, whilst reducing site operational costs. Hycontrol’s microwave blocked chute/flow detector will also be demonstrated, showing how it provides a safe, non-invasive solution, with none of the potential radiation hazards of nucleonic technology. Hycontrol’s new installation division offers integrated level systems from site survey through to installation, commissioning and all-important training. Engineers will be on hand to explain the important benefits of utilising such single source level measurement engineering expertise in terms of system reliability, functionality, performance and cost.
