IT might not be taking place until September 26 – 30, but the ninth edition of the Seattle festival Decibel is already selling its second tier of tickets, allowing attendees to save a massive 30% of the full price. It’s small wonder; last year’s event, shown in the video, drew 22,000 with headline acts including techno legends Green Velvet and Moby, old school US house heads like Lawnchair Generals and Pezzner, and the 21st century bass of Kingdom and Machine Drum, amongst the 170 artists who performed at over a dozen venues during the fi ve-day festival.


While this year’s line-up has yet to be announced, check last year’s, still online in full, to get an idea of the length and breadth on offer. With a focus on live performance, interactive multimedia art, state-of-the-art sound and technology- based education, you can be sure that you won’t just be being fed the most popular DJs in EDM at that moment in time, rather a mixture of past masters, current hot names and future stars.
