TRUE LOVE WAITS: Piccadilly Records in Manchester saw music fans queue through the night to be first to get their hands on Record Store Day exclusives. According to ERA, the most popular item was Songs From The Great White North by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, followed by R U Mine/Electricity by Arctic Monkeys. Other special product on the day included
re-releases from The Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen and The Clash. Like many other stores, Eastern Bloc in Manchester kept punters entertained with some live DJ sets, whilst Rough Trade East in London hosted live performances from the likes of Keane and Johnny Flynn.
