ASK MR. EDGE NEW PRODUCT LINES UNVEILED FOR 2012

Once again it’s time for the new product

update. Last year brought us Edea boots and Rie- dell’s new Eclipse blade line. Te start of this year brings us an exciting new development. Klingbeil Shoe Labs, designer and manu-

facturer of custom skating boots for more than 60 years, has relocated from Queens to Manhattan. Now with a new factory and showroom space, the company is now producing skating boots at a faster rate. However, it will stay true to the tradi- tion of having artisans hand-making each pair. Harlick & Company: No changes report- ed to its boot line. Its X-line design is working out well in being able to fit skaters with a much broader-shaped ball area. SP-Teri Boots: Nothing new to report.

Teir Zero Gravity model seems to be doing ex- ceptionally well ever since it was introduced. I give it two thumbs up. Wilson/MK Blades: Nothing new to report

here, either. Expect prices to stay relatively stable. Eclipse Blades: Two new blades have been added to Riedell’s Eclipse blade line. Te Pin- nacle is modeled after the Wilson Gold Seal, and the Crescent, is a low-cost introductory freestyle blade.

Paramount Sk8s: Nothing new to report with its blade line. Its blade quality and perfec- tion in design leaves little room for improvement. Later this year, a major announcement is expected about a new product that the company has been working on for the past several years. Jackson/Ultima: New products are expect-

ed to be available starting this month. Jackson Support Rating System

can now access all of the features and benefits of the Elite Supreme boot, but with a support pack- age appropriate to their level of skating.
