Navigate your way
to new skills Walking is one of the main attractions of this wonderful area and effective navigation is one of the key skills for any walker to learn. Our popular Pathfinder courses, based at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes, cover fundamental map and compass techniques.
Educational and fun, they are led by our own Dales Volunteers who have a great deal of walking experience within the National Park. Improving navigation skills increases confidence and we hope these courses will encourage you to begin to explore for yourself the fantastic landscape on your doorstep.
Walking boots and waterproofs are essential. Bring food and drink. Cost £10. Sorry, no dogs. Contact Hawes National Park Centre for more details - see page 5.
