Out & about TRANSPORT
Düsseldorf’s Rheinbahn tram, bus and underground network encompasses over 1,400km. You can travel from the Messe to the old town (altstadt) on the underground (u-bahn) or by bus. Alight at Heinrich-Heine-Allee for the old town.

Düsseldorf has the second-highest concentration of taxis anywhere in Germany. Like most other German cities, registered taxis are coloured beige. The taxi fare between the airport (flughafen) and the Dusseldorf Messe (8 minutes) should be around €15.00, and between the Messe and altstadt (12 minutes) around €20.00.
Shuttle bus 896 runs between the airport and the Messe (during exhibitions only).
An admission ticket to drupa will provide you with free travel on all Rheinbahn lines.
