Since opening in 2000, the venue has hosted over 3,500 events and welcomed over 10 million visitors from over 200 different countries. In the summer of 2012, ExCeL London will play a key role in helping to deliver the greatest show on earth – the Olympic Games. The venue will play host to seven Olympic and six Paralympic events, including boxing, wrestling, judo, fencing, weightlifting, Tae Kwon Do and table tennis.


“Ipex has been located at the NEC since 1980, some 30 years of its successful history, and until now the NEC venue was the only one in the UK that could handle the sheer size of the event,” concludes Trevor Crawford. “Since the expansion of its event halls in May 2010, ExCeL London has now become the perfect venue for Ipex to begin the next chapter in its development.”


Ipex is the largest English-speaking global technology event for print, publishing and media, and was acquired by IIR Exhibitions (now Informa Exhibitions) in 2006 from its previous owner, industry association Picon. With less than two years to go until Ipex 2014, over 50% of the floor-plan has already been sold.
