Anti-Corrosion Coatings
๏
ZinKlad 250 M…Supporting The HighestQuality Standards
When coating performance is considered, hours to white or red rust is the normal criteria. However with high tensile fasteners, being free of hydrogen embrittlement is an equally important factor. For this reason components such as rivets and safety critical fasteners are coated using a mechanically applied process.
In the mechanical plating process zinc is deposited by the cold welding process. The resulting deposit provides corrosion protection to the articles without introducing hydrogen embrittlement. The benefits to the coating engineer is a reliable finish, suitable for high tensile steels at an economical cost/performance criteria.
