Kee Safety Group explains how its extensive range of BeamClamp® and BoxBolt®

solutions, launched in 2005, have gone from strength to strength with growth all across the world. K

ee Safety Group is widely known for its renowned Kee Klamp®

structural fittings use to make handrail, guardrail

and other tubular structures. Alongside this, Kee Safety offers an ever growing product range of roof top fall protection systems for collective and personal protection. The company was started in the UK in 1934 and ever since has

been producing extremely high quality complex products. Kee Safety now has facilities across the world, with offices in the UK (5 offices), France, Germany, Poland, Dubai, and 5 offices in the USA. BeamClamp® The BeamClamp®

BeamClamp®

range of steel to steel connection clamps is used in various renewable energy applications including the

connection of solar panel frames used in large commercial applications and solar fields. Kee Safety’s floor fixing connections are used to secure open steel or chequer plate flooring which provides access to solar panels and within wind turbines. Kee Safety also provides retro fit solutions for existing structures that require the connection of solar panels to create bespoke power generation systems. The BeamClamp®

a solution for securing steel together without the need for traditional on-site methods such as welding or drilling. “When all the costs that are required to make a connection are calculated, the clamping system, in the majority of situations,

is the most economical as the installation speed and labour costs are vastly reduced. There are many other benefits such as a guaranteed load, adjustability, no damage to existing steel or coatings, no hot work permits and no debris created from drilling. These benefits are becoming very important in situations where drilling and welding can create hazards.”

such as welding or bolting through. The BoxBolt®

range provides an economical solution for making blind connections when compared with traditional methods eliminates complicated fabrications such as welding internal nuts or providing

internal stiffeners to reduce crushing from tightening. BoxBolt®

is approved by Lloyds Register and also DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik) and complies with the design requirements to Euro code 3 and DIN 18800.

Quality/new product development Kee Safety prides itself on providing quality products compliant to all relevant

approvals and legislation specific for the market they will be used in. The BeamClamp® and BoxBolt®

products go through regular external audits from both Lloyds Register

and DIBt approval bodies. Kee Safety aims to lead the market in new product development and has the facilities in-house to perform prototyping and product testing to make sure that

the right product gets to the market as quickly as possible. It has a dedicated area within its 40,000sq/ft facility in the UK for this type of work alongside the day to day quality testing.

Technical support The products can be used in an almost infinite number of configurations and in a
