GENERAL INFORMATION


Inclusive Prices


Tauck’s 2012 Roman Holiday Event prices are per person in U.S. dollars. All hotel accommodations, motor coach transportation, special dinners, sightseeing, admissions, luggage handling and the services of the local drivers, guides and Tauck Directors are included. Tauck Director and driver gratuities are included on Tauck Events.


A representative of Tauck will meet you at Rome International Airport and provide transportation to the The Westin Excelsior, Rome regardless of the time you check into your hotel, provided Tauck has received accurate flight arrival information at least two weeks before the start of the Event. Transportation from The Westin Excelsior, Rome to Rome International Airport at the conclusion of the Event is also included. Transportation to and from the airport may be shared with other Tauck guests.


Hotel Accommodations – Event price includes all hotel accommodations with private baths. Doubles may consist of either a king or queen bed OR two double beds. Exact configurations may be requested but are not guaranteed. Triples are either king- or queen-bedded OR two-bedded rooms, subject to availability, with a rollaway bed and are not recommended for comfort. Adjacent, adjoining and connecting rooms are available by request only and cannot be guaranteed.


Meals – Meals are included as specified in the itinerary. 18


Tauck Director – The Tauck Roman Holiday Event will be hosted in small groups averaging 32 that are conducted by a Tauck Director who remains with the group throughout the Event. Your Tauck Director is a professional employee of Tauck.


Gratuities Included – All appropriate gratuities for Tauck Director, drivers, luggage handling, bellmen, doormen, and dining room servers are included.


How to Make a Reservation


To make a reservation, see your travel agent or telephone Tauck at (800) 468-2825 in the U.S. and Canada and at (203) 899-6500 internationally. Please provide your name(s) exactly as it appears on your passport, or government-issued photo I.D., with the complete address of all persons. We will verbally give a “Deposit Due Date,” up to which time space is held tentatively.


Deposit Date – To hold space up to time of “Final Payment,” a deposit for each tour booked must be received by the “Deposit Due Date” or space is automatically released. Deposits are $600 per person.


Final Payment is due at Tauck’s Norwalk, CT, office 60 days before departure. Any bookings without full payment at this time may be subject to cancellation without notice.


Final Documents, which may include electronic airline ticket numbers when applicable, are sent by first class mail upon


receipt of final payment. They include joining instructions, hotel lists, reading list, clothing suggestions, tour itinerary, luggage tags, and other pertinent information. We recommend overnight mailing service for any reservation that is made within 30 days of the Event departure date to ensure timely delivery. The additional expense will be added to your tour cost and must be included in your final payment.


Hotel Rooms Before & After the Event – Many guests prefer to make hotel arrangements before the Event begins. As a service, Tauck will make hotel reservations before or after the Event on a space available basis upon request. Hotel charges will be added to your cost. Note: Airport transfers are included for these bookings; ask for details when booking.


Itinerary Changes & Price Flexibility


Tauck pledges to make every effort to operate the Event as advertised. Tauck reserves the right to alter or curtail the itinerary, or substitute sightseeing, hotels, and / or conveyances as deemed necessary. Any savings realized by these changes will be refunded to passengers. Any resultant added expense will be covered by Tauck. Note: Although not expected, prices in this brochure may be modified due to unexpected significant external factors not forecasted at the time of printing.
