ONE half of intercontinental pairing Hot Natured alongside Jamie Jones (voted Best DJ by DJ Mag readers in our 2011 Best Of British Awards), US-born Lee Foss cut his teeth playing everything from hip-hop and classic ‘80s funk to house in Chicago before making his break as a producer while in LA, hooking up with Droog, hosts of the infamous Standard parties, and releasing on their Culprit label.


It’s his own Hot Creations label, however, on which he’s dropped his finest work, from the sublime ‘U Got Me’ to Ali Love-fronted anthem ‘Forward


Motion’, whilst also snapping up and unearthing fresh new talent such as Miami-based Jesse Perez, whose geographically rooted house sound takes influences from booty bass, classic hip-hop and freestyle. As a double helping of goodness for those who’ve managed to make it to the Florida sunshine this winter, Hot Creations’ much-anticipated annual Miami party hits both the surf and turf on the 22nd March, Cajmere and MK amongst the guests boarding the Biscayne Lady cruiser before ending up at Shine nightclub in The Shelborne.
