climate we are in. It’s not just your ticket, but the journey there, the pie, the pint, the programme. It’s a big outlay. I know that and I’ll be the first to admit that our fans have had to put up with a lot of disappointing football over the last year or so in following Ipswich Town. That support from the stands has always been there though – on the good days and the bad.
I can remember walking off the pitch after we lost at home to Watford. We should have won but we gave away two bad goals – not for the first time this season. My head was down, the players were down but the positive reaction we got from the stands gave us a lift when we needed it.

There have been too many ‘Watfords’ this season but I know what Portman Road can be like when the team is winning games. We got a taste of it when we beat West Ham recently. The atmosphere that night was fantastic. The supporters and the players were in it together. That’s what I want to try and create at this football club. Thanks for your support.
