KID MASSIVE GOES LARGE


DANISH dance producer Kid Massive has been through a number of incarnations, but its his ‘A Little Louder’ album (released last week on Transmission Records) which is his biggest statement of intent so far. Featuring 12 full vocal tracks for big room discos, it’s a calling card to the US where his sound is currently sweeping up, and a preview of his appearance at Kinky Malinky at Proud2 this Saturday 10th March. We have two pairs of tickets to give away, plus two signed copies of the album and two Kid Massive t-shirts.

COMING from the same school of blunted MPC skill as Chicago legend DJ Sneak, Parisian house gangster Phil Weeks has earned top marks for his jackin’ fi ltered house sound. With his third album ‘Raw Instrumentals’ released at the end of the week by Robsoul, you can watch an exclusive live stream of him when he performs at the Rex Club, Paris, this Thursday 8th March from 10.30pm to 5am GMT. Using a Roland TR-909 drum machine and an Akai MPC3000 sampler to augment his DJ set, tune in to hear Phil’s skill in cutting up soul, disco, funk and more over classic swung house beats.
