THERE was a time when it would have been inconceivable for Swiss-Chilean DJ Luciano – one of the pioneers of lithe, stripped down, percussive house - to share the same venue as Swedish House Mafia, but since taking up residence at Pacha Ibiza anything has seemed possible.


His pool parties at The Shelborne, Miami, this year taking place on Thursday 22nd March, are amongst the most frenzied and packed, with Luciano playing marathon sets alongside supporting members of the Vagabundos crew from his Cadenza label. In accordance,


his Miami chart features plenty of tracks from Cadenza, our favourite the flamenco lilt of Uner’s ‘Cocoua’, alongside plenty of raw house ebullience like the Biggie-sampling bruiser that is Andrea Oliva and Gel Abril’s ‘Scene’ and Pirupa’s clattering old school jacker ‘Party Non Stop’.
