ALWAYS IN THE NEWS Another star attraction - although they don’t want to be - is the Tchenguiz brothers. Their legal dispute with a family friend set tongues wagging in Cannes even in their absence. Not as much as their arrest last year, mind.


SPLISH SPLASH There was something fishy going on at the WP Carey party last night but don’t worry, it was all above board. The investment manager gave its


guests quite the treat, said sources. After being greeted by a gaggle of


lovely ladies brandishing champagne, lucky invitees were whisked through a Picasso exhibition before WP Carey unveiled its piece de residence...a pool of mermaids. Let’s hope that’s not an omen that will


see the industry pulled back towards some rocky waters.


AND FINALLY....


Diary hears that CBRE is paying £100,000 to rent it’s apartment opposite the Palais. But, money doesn’t buy taste as it’s been described as ‘extremely tacky’.
