Main- taining this stance, its influence extends over South East Asia with an economy based on manufacturing and a strong tourism sector. From Heathrow, Thai Airways and Qantas fly

to Bangkok twice-daily, with BA providing a daily service and some EVA services stopping off in the capital. Finnair, Lufthansa, Air France and KLM depart frequently from the continent, and there are numerous flights from the Gulf.

Air France departs six times a week from Paris CDG, while Qatar Airways and Etihad fly daily from their hubs in the Gulf.

 Ho Chi Minh City Once known as Saigon, the city was renamed at the end of the Vietnamese civil war.
